MARK YOUR CALENDARS
Tuesday, June 21,10:30am Joys of Creativity – A Shared Circle Is there something you are involved with that puts you in “the zone”, which is a vehicle for “self-expression”, and “calms” and/or “energizes” you? Some find these experiences through their love of music, crafting, visual arts, acting, writing, decorating, carpentry, jewelry making, gardening, cooking, poetry, storytelling, creating classes for LLI and more! Come prepared to share your creative pursuits and/or to be inspired by others. If you are interested in sharing, please contact Sandi via email: sandisacks@gmail.com We will screen share photos of your work on the Zoom screen for all to see and you will have the opportunity to recite or perform.
Tuesday, June 28,10:30am Insights into Census Data with Janeen Bjork – The population schedule of the 1950 U.S. Federal census became public on April 1, 2022. Anyone who was living in the United States, or its territories was supposed to be enumerated 72 years earlier. Join LLI Genealogy teacher Janeen Bjork for some insights into census data, and for help finding your family in the pages of the census.
If any of you would like to volunteer to host an intersession program on Zoom, please contact sandisacks@gmail.com.
Any way you can share with our LLI Community will be greatly appreciated.
(Note the new meeting time)
The LLI Film Club looks forward to the following Thursday schedule on ZOOM at 7:00PM.

August 11 – Whale Rider – MaryAnn Brown, host
Watch the film in advance of the meetings. All LLI members are welcome.
Have you ever wondered how LLI does it all? The answer is volunteers!
We are a volunteer-run organization, with the help of one part-time paid office manager. We do a lot, but we need your help. LLI currently needs volunteers for several important roles:
- Co-hosts for classes on Zoom. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to do this (none of us knew a few months ago), we have a crackerjack team that will provide ample training for you.
- The Curriculum Committee coordinates instructors and courses, which is an ongoing effort.
- The Special Events Committee works to identify and coordinate Lunch & Learn presentations, another ongoing activity.
- Other opportunities to volunteer include the Newsletter, Catalog and more.
If you would like to volunteer, please send an email to
LLearner@ncc.commnet.edu.
Let us know what you’d like to do, and we’ll get you connected.
Every time you buy using Amazon Smile, you give back to Lifetime Learners!
