Essentrics is a dynamic, one-hour, low-impact, weight-free fitness program that strengthens the muscles in the elongated position, creating a long, lean and re-balanced body. The unique fluid movement of Essentrics slenderizes and tones the abs, waist, thighs, arms and back, while improving posture, flexibility, agility and strength. Essentrics rapidly and safely conditions the whole body so that it can be done daily, helping one to feel energized, positive and strong.
Please note: This is a one-hour course. Students must be able to get up and down from the floor unassisted. A pre-registration medical screening form will be sent to all enrolled members, which must be returned one week before the class starts. Note that persons with health issues that could be impacted by engaging in low-level movement should not enroll in this course.
June Bird has a Masters degree in dance and has been teaching it for more than thirty years. Her background is in ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance. She chose to teach Essentrics because it offers great benefits toward maintaining better health and wellness for adults.
